Concord University has introduced an innovative financial aid initiative aimed at helping West Virginia residents achieve their higher education goals. Launched five years ago, the CU Free program provides a last-dollar financial assistance option for incoming freshmen, current students, and transfer students. This program enables eligible students to pursue a four-year degree without the burden of out-of-pocket tuition expenses.
The CU Free program is designed to alleviate financial barriers that often prevent students from continuing their education. By covering the remaining tuition costs after other forms of financial aid have been applied, Concord University ensures that more students can access quality education without the stress of accumulating debt.
University officials emphasize the importance of this initiative in promoting educational equity and encouraging local students to pursue their academic aspirations. With the CU Free program, Concord University is not only supporting individual students but also investing in the future workforce of West Virginia, fostering a more educated and skilled community.
