MANSFIELD – Mid-Ohio Adult Education proudly joined national and statewide efforts to emphasize the significance of adult education during National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, observed from September 14 to 20. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the essential role of adult education in fostering literacy and lifelong learning among families.
As part of this advocacy, two Ohio Aspire programs took part in the “Flood the Hill” event held in Washington, D.C. This gathering provided a platform for educators and advocates to engage with lawmakers, highlighting the critical need for support and funding in adult education programs. Participants shared personal stories and showcased the positive impact that adult education has on individuals and communities.
The week-long celebration featured various activities designed to promote literacy, including workshops, informational sessions, and community outreach events. By participating in these initiatives, Mid-Ohio Adult Education reaffirms its commitment to empowering adults through education, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for families across the region.
