UCF Joins State University System of Florida in Celebrating a Decade of No. 1 State for Higher Education Ranking

The University of Central Florida has joined the State University System of Florida in celebrating a decade of being ranked the number one state for higher education. For ten straight years, Florida has held the top spot in U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings, a milestone that university leaders say reflects years of focused investment and strategic growth.

To keep the momentum going, the state has launched a new scholarship initiative called "Florida 10 for 10: Celebrating a Decade of Leading Higher Education." The program aims to boost student success by expanding access to affordable degrees and supporting completion rates. UCF officials note that the recognition is not just about rankings but about real outcomes, including low tuition, high graduation rates, and strong job placement for graduates.

Across the system, universities have worked to keep costs down while increasing enrollment and research output. UCF, as one of the largest public universities in the country, has played a key role in that effort. The new scholarship push is expected to help even more students earn degrees without taking on heavy debt. As Florida marks this ten-year streak, the focus remains on making higher education both excellent and accessible for the next generation.
