After more than 15 years, the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce the graduation of its first Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) class of 2025. This milestone marks a significant achievement in the county's ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyles among its youth.
The DARE program, which has been a staple in many communities across the nation, aims to educate students about the dangers of drug use and equip them with the skills necessary to resist peer pressure. The graduation ceremony celebrated the hard work and dedication of the students who completed the program, alongside the commitment of the educators and law enforcement officers involved.
Parents, community members, and local officials gathered to honor the graduates, who showcased their knowledge through various presentations and activities. The event underscored the importance of community involvement in creating a safe and supportive environment for children. With the successful launch of this program, Lenoir County hopes to inspire other communities to prioritize drug education and prevention initiatives.
