The Graduate Medical Education Research Symposium returns for its eighth year on Tuesday, bringing together residents and fellows from across the University of Nebraska Medical Center to present their latest work. The event will take place in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center, offering a full day of presentations and poster sessions.
Organizers expect a broad range of research topics, covering clinical studies, quality improvement projects, and basic science investigations. The symposium is designed to give trainees a platform to share their findings with peers, faculty, and other health professionals. It also serves as a key opportunity for young physicians to practice communicating their research in a formal setting.
Judges will evaluate the presentations and award prizes for the best work in several categories. Past winners have gone on to publish their studies in medical journals or use the data to launch larger research efforts. The event is open to all UNMC faculty and staff, and attendance is encouraged for anyone interested in the latest developments from the next generation of medical researchers.
The symposium runs from early morning through the afternoon, with a scheduled break for a keynote address. No registration is required for attendees.
